I have moved!
My family and I have relocated to the outskirts of N/E Oxford towards Stanton St. John. I now have a big light and airy studio with country views to work from and hold courses in; with the added bonus of plenty of parking!
School/Community Mosaics
I have been helping children from East Oxford Primary make wall and planter/seat mosaics in conjunction with their new playground.
A Mums group was then set up so they too could put their mark on the wall too!
During the open day of the new Union building, East Oxford local people and guests joined in the making of this bold and sparkly mosaic. It is filled with some interesting tiles, crockery and 3d porcelain flowers. It really shines in the sun!
Never too old for a mosaic party!
I’m glad to say that more adults are joining in or having their own mosaic parties!
I was very pleased and honoured to host a 70th Birthday Party for a lovely lady in London recently. There were 35 makers ages ranging from 20 something to 75 plus. Great fun was had by all.
New venture
I’ve been going back to my roots lately and teaching various sewing/craft techniques to a women’s group locally. It has been such fun. The emphasis has been to show a new technique each week and for the women to expand and make it their own, so not dictating how they should work. See the results for yourself.
I will be offering funky brooch/accessories parties as an alternative to mosaic parties.
